Técnicas de pintura com Chalk Paint™

Aparência vintage simples
1. Aplique uma camada de tinta Chalk Paint™, movendo o pincel em todas as direcções
2. Aplique a cera clara Annie Sloan com um pano que não deixe fios ou com pincel apropriado, trabalhando sobre a pintura como se estivesse a colocar creme nas mãos, removendo qualquer excesso à medida que vai aplicando a cera
3. Opcional: Retire um pouco da tinta utilizando uma lixa fina ou média, até atingir o acabamento pretendido
4. Opcional: Para uma aparência mais antiga, utilize a cera escura Annie Sloan. Utilize o mesmo pincel ou pano que utilizou para a cera clara e espalhe a cera escura. Encere pequenas áreas de cada vez e remova o excesso com a cera clara, à medida que vai encerando
5. Termine garantindo que toda a peça de mobiliário foi encerada no mínimo uma vez com um pano sem pêlo
Desgaste com duas cores
1. Aplique duas camadas de Chalk Paint™, movendo o pincel em todas as direcções. Utilize duas cores diferentes combinadas, como primeira e segunda camadas. A segunda camada deve ser mais fina do que a primeira
2. Aplique a cera clara Annie Sloan com um pano
3. Retire um pouco da segunda camada com uma lixa fina ou média, até atingir o acabamento pretendido
Aparência rústica fragmentada
1. Deixe a tinta no frigorífico durante algumas horas para que fique bem espessa
2. Pinte duas camadas (ou mesmo três em algumas partes) e deixe secar - também pode usar um secador de cabelo para obter um melhor efeito de fragmentação da tinta
3. Aplique a cera clara com um pano
4. Quando estiver seca, "bata" o excesso de tinta, utilizando uma folha de lixa dobrada
5. Opcional: Para uma aparência mais antiga, utilize a cera escura
Acabamento suave moderno
1. Lixe a superfície com uma lixa média para retirar qualquer textura que esteja saliente
2. Dissolva a tinta num pouco de água e aplique-a suavemente com um pincel na mesma direcção dos veios da madeira
3. Opcional: Quando a tinta estiver seca, use uma lixa fina - 600 ou superior - para obter um acabamento mais polido

Simple vintage look
1. Apply a coat of Chalk Paint™, moving the brush in all direction
2. Apply Annie Sloan Clear Soft Wax with a lint-free cloth or brush, working the wax into the paint like hand cream and removing any excess as you go
3. Optional: Remove a little of the paint using a fine or medium-grit sandpaper, until you achieve the finish you always imagined
4. Optional: For a great antique look, use Dark Soft Wax. Work it into your (still wet) Clear Soft Wax and spread. Wax small areas at a time, and remove excess wax with Clear Soft Wax as you go
5. Finish by making sure that every part of your furniture has been waxed at least once with a lint free cloth
Two colour distressing
1. Apply two coats of Chalk Paint™, moving the brush in all directions. Use two different coordinated colours as first and second coats. Apply the second coat thinner than the first
2. Apply a coat of Annie Sloan clear wax
3. Remove a little of the second coat using a fine or medium-grit sandpaper, until you achieve the finish you always imagined
The rustic, 'chippy' look
1. Leave the paint in the fridge for a few hours to get it really thick
2. Paint two coats or even three in some parts and leave to dry - or you can use a hairdryer to get some really good cracks
3. Apply clear wax with a cloth
4. When it is dry, 'knock' the paint off with a piece of folded sandpaper
5. Optional: Use the dark wax for an antique look
Smooth modern finish
1. Sand the surface with medium-grit paper to smooth out any prominent textures
2. Water down your paint and apply it smoothly and evenly with a brush in the same direction as the grain
3. Optional: When the paint is dry, use a fine sandpaper - 600-grit or higher - to buff the finished surface
